Habitats

Occurs in Gangwon, Seoul, Gyeonggi, Chungbuk, Gyeongbuk, Gyeongnam, Jeonbuk or Jeonnam.

Stem

Clumped growth, with basal sheath color light brown, and length about 10-20 cm.

Leaves

Leaves longer than the stem, similar to the stem or shorter than the stem, have glabrous surfaces, width about 1 mm.

Inflorescence

The number of spikes one, with some spikes bisexual. Entire inflorescence length about 0.8-1.5 cm (by misinterpretation). Terminal spike sexuality androgynous. Lateral spike sexuality androgynous. Terminal spike length about 0.8-1.5 cm. Number of spikes per node one (one spike in one bract).

Bract

Lowermost bract shape scale-like (?).

Glume

Staminate glume awn absent. Pistillate glume awn absent. Pistillate glume color whitish green to light brown.

Perigynium

Transverse section lenticular to biconvex or trigonous to terete. Perigynium shape obovate (the broadest part near the apex) (?), elliptical to narrow elliptical (the broadest part in the center) (?) or ovate-lanceolate (the broadest part near the base) (?), and loosely flowered. Perigynium glabrous. Beak short (beak less than one-third of the total length), with truncate mouth. Length 2-2.5 mm.

Achene

Appendage absent, no constrictions.
